About
Randall Museum Summer Camps and Day Camps include nature exploration, hikes, swimming, games, and art and natural science projects. Camp days include hands-on science, art, technology, nature study, physical play, and evening campfires. Families may pack their own lunches, and campers in the “Birding the Hill” bird walk are asked to bring their own binoculars.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Randall Summer Camps run from 9:00am to 3:00pm, with a morning drop-off window from 9:00 to 9:45.
• Price: $10 per adult/child combo and $5 per each additional person for Saturday Science Drop-in Workshops; $10 per adult/child combo and $5 per each additional person for Afternoon Art Drop-in Art Workshops.
The program includes an overnight youth camp at Camp Mather near Yosemite National Park and a mandatory pre-camp meeting for this overnight camp on Thursday, July 16th from 6:00–7:30 PM, with the condition “No meeting, no camp.” Day camp activities include supervised outdoor lunch and play time at State Street Playground, weather permitting, and use of Randall Museum’s Art Room and Wild in California wildlife exhibit. Cafè Josephine offers healthy, kid friendly box lunches for weekly pre-order. Admission to the Randall Museum is free, and the museum offers Saturday Science drop-in science workshops, Afternoon Art drop-in art workshops, and Meet an Animal Ambassador presentations with rescue animal ambassadors. Scholarships are available to low-income San Francisco residents. The program’s mission is “Fostering a love of science, nature, and the arts.” The Randall Museum is a facility of the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, and the camp manager is Sarah Watanabe.
